PCB Music by the Riverside

Nice to be invited to open this fantastic day of local entertainment organised by Prudhoe Community Partnership.

No rain this year and plenty of sunshine for a change.

Thanks to Moira Wooldridge for the photos, and Duncan for the in percussion view of our very own Gene Kruper, John Bradford with ‘Sing Sing Sing’

PCB at Wheelbirks Farm Open Day

What a great venue playing at Wheelbirks Fam and Ice Cream Parlour to entertain visitors to the farms open day. This was part of a nationally organised event to allow visitors to see behind the scenes of working farms. The national event even featured on a storyline of the Archers.

Beamish Town Bandstand

A nice sunny rainless day for our springr trip to Beamish. Lots of people out enjoying our specially chosen Olde World set.

A nice little video from ‘Songs that won the Wars’ in remembrance of the anniversary of VE Day this week. ‘Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smile, smile, smile’

Fundraising Concert for the Riverside.

Thank you to prudhoe Community Partnership for inviting us to open the evenings entertainment for a grand night of local talent in an effort to raise funds for the Summer music by the Riverside event planned for July 12th 2925.

Thanks as always to Moira Wooldridge for the photos!

PCB ‘A Grand Day Out’ at Beamish Museum

Thank you to Beamish Museum for inviting us to play at the old Hetton Silver Band Hall on Sunday.

Based in the Pit Village this historic old building was one of the few purpose built band halls in the country.

With the sun shining for once we had a lovely afternoon playing for an enthusiastic audience relaxing on the lawn outside.

They were well up for a bit of audience participation in the Sailors Hornpipe. Faster clapping means faster playing!

We are now having a summer break until we resume rehearsals in September so look forward to seeing any new players who might like to join us then.

PCB at Prudhoe Music By The Riverside

Well we managed to huddle together close enough to keep out of the rain and keep warm playing at this fantastic day of local entertainment hosted by Prudhoe Community Partnership.

Thanks to Moira Woodridge for taking some more fantastic photos.

It was nice to welcome Angie Scott Prudhoes new Mayor

We are lucky to have such a lovely natural amphitheatre down by the Tyne.

PCB at the Grainger Market

Back at the Grainger Market in the heart of Newcastle City Centre to play for a great crowd of customers . Bit warmer than our Xmas Market gig last year and a fantastic venue acoustically.

Thanks to everyone who donated towards band funds which helps keep PCB up and running.

Thanks to Paul and Nick from Tyne Valley Big Band who came to the rescue Trombone wise, some nifty sight reading chaps!

We hope to be back at Xmas to play some Festive tunes.

PCB at Beamish Museum

Phew! We made it despite the dire forecast we managed to dodge the thunderstorms predicted my Mr Mooney and had a lovely time playing on the bandstand in the Old Town.

It was tight fitting us in around our ever expanding percussion section but we made it!

We are back again on Sunday 21st July as we like playing at Beamish so much!
