Thank you to Beamish Museum for inviting us to play at the old Hetton Silver Band Hall on Sunday.
Based in the Pit Village this historic old building was one of the few purpose built band halls in the country.
With the sun shining for once we had a lovely afternoon playing for an enthusiastic audience relaxing on the lawn outside.
They were well up for a bit of audience participation in the Sailors Hornpipe. Faster clapping means faster playing!
We are now having a summer break until we resume rehearsals in September so look forward to seeing any new players who might like to join us then.
